Our goal is to create, capture and convey the essence of a service to expand the reach of God’s Word and the free gift of salvation through His Son Jesus.
In Matthew Jesus charged us to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey everything He commanded. In Romans Paul shares that he is “not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” The Media Ministry uses the technology available today to reach as many souls as possible with the gospel, which is the “good news”, about Jesus Christ and teach them the word of God. We use video, lighting, and the internet as an instrument to deliver the gospel and disciple people.
To get involved we only need some basic information listed below but otherwise we will provide you with all the training you need to successfully serve and grow in the Media Ministry.
LIGHTING
Create an ambiance that is conducive to worship, teaching, and learning from God’s word. This person is responsible for loading, setting, and cueing the lighting during a service. In addition to the weekly lighting one can assist in lighting design and operation for special performances and plays such as a concert or the Christmas play.
PROJECTION
Organizes the media, which includes song lyrics and background images used to help lead people in worship. The project station also loads and cues everything from video clips to the sermon notes in support of the teaching of the word of God. In addition to the weekly projection one can also design and create new backgrounds, welcome clips, and many other custom images to use with projection.
VIDEOGRAPHY
Captures the events of a service using various cameras and available video feeds then mixes them to convey the service to those watching on the internet and various monitors around the church facility. This person uploads the mixed video to the Internet and in-house broadcast system. In addition to the weekly projection one can also become part of post-production and take part in editing the recorded videos.
