Missions and Outreach

Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor works diligently toward fulfilling the Great Commission both locally and abroad. It provides a venue that enables church members to deploy and co-labor in the harvest field domestically or abroad with the objective of developing partnerships with churches and ministries committed to evangelism, discipleship, church planting and community development. This ministry provides opportunities to transform lives both those ministered to, and those who minister.  It lays the foundation for developing a passion for missions and develop a deeper relationship with Christ through engagement in the work of missions. Our passion here is to come alongside those who are called and those who have already been sent with the tools in which they will need to serve successfully on the field.

A Chosen Generation Radio Ministry records, edits, and produces radio broadcast for various radio stations locally and nationally of Pastor Derald Skinner's sermons. A Chosen Generation provides advertising tags for various events that may be coming up at Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor.

Ka Puni Ohana, CCPH's Foster Care/Adoption Ministry is a group of families from within the church body fostering children that are currently awaiting permanent homes. The Kokua Ministry is a "food pantry" that distributes non-perishable groceries and other basic supplies to homes for families due to loss of job/layoffs or are financially unable to purchase adequate food due to recent hardships. Food is purchased through the Hawaii Food Bank with donations received from individuals or church support. Every 1st Saturday of the month, Kokua Ministry distributes food to families at Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor. Every last Saturday of the month, they distributes food to families at Pearl City Community Church. The Kokua Ministry also participates in the annual Hawaii Food Bank Hunger Walk that is normally held in August.

The Prison Ministry is an outreach ministry that's mission is to reach out to the lost souls in prison, and encourage the believers that are incarcerated. Through Bible studies, worship, and discipleship, we see the Lord breaking the chains of sin and despair. We witness firsthand how the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes men and women's hearts. For more information on this ministry, please see Jim Arrowood.

The vision of the REACH Ministry is Outreach using basketball as the means, the avenue for reaching our generation of youth for Jesus Christ. Because the sport of basketball is a universal language, it is our prayer and vision that God would use REACH locally, domestically, and into the whole world (Acts 1:8).

The River of Life Mission is an outreach ministry that gives the body of Christ at CCPH the opportunity to prepare a meal and serve those in need in the downtown Honolulu area. Worship and a Bible message are provided, along with assisting in the kitchen. CCPH services the first Monday of the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December.

Vacation Bible School, or VBS, is a fun-filled program Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor offers, during the summer, to connect with the children and families in our community. Vacation Bible School reaches children who don't normally attend church and focuses on teaching them the gospel.  A week of VBS includes games, snacks, crafts, skits, and, of course, Bible lessons. There is always a connection between God and the theme, allowing kids to discover God in a creative way.
